Rheumatology
Our central aim in the treatment of our rheumatic patients is a early diagnosis to get the individual therapy started. Rheumatic diseases are ofthe accompanied by pains in the area of the locomotor system (joints, tendons and soft tissue).
Meanwhile around 400 diseases are deemed "rheumatic". Some examples are:
rheumatoid arthritis (also polyarthritis)
polychondritis
Bechterew?s syndrome (Ankylosing spondylitis)
Fibromyalgia
Systemic lupus erythematosus
The majority of rheumatic diseases (especially of autoimmune diseases) come along with inflammation. Others, e.g. arthrosis, lead to joint pains with no inflammation perceptible.
