Rheumatology
Rheumatology is a part of the internal medicine, dealing with diagnosis and therapy which are often affecting the locomotor apparatus, too. The term ?rheumatism? designates a number of illnesses. Meanwhile over 400 illnesses are called ?rheumatic?. Examples are rheumatoid arthritis (also polyarthritis), polychondritis (RP), morbus bechterew, fibromyalgia and lupus erythematodes. Many rheumatic diseases, especially the so-called autoimmune diseases, come along with inflammation. Others, like e.g. arthrosis cause joint pain, with no inflammation activity verifiable.
